DD Residence is located in Hoorn, The Netherlands. In this project the L-shaped architecture has been accentuated by using two different materials for the floor. This was created by using a mineral design compound floor as the base and oak straight herringbone floor as a L shaped path.Natural materials such as quartzite, oak and mineral wallpaint has been used to create a calm and warm environment. All colours had been carefully selected to enhance the natural materials.Using the same colourpalette and materials throughout the house enhanced the calmness.
